Join me at Surf City Brewing Company for a relaxed, hands-on afternoon of fermenting. If you’ve ever wanted to make your own sauerkraut this class is designed to take the mystery out of it. Whether your goals are flavor, gut health, or otherwise, we will go over everything you need to know to get started at home

We’ll talk about the "good" bacteria that do all the heavy lifting and why this traditional way of preserving food is so great for your health. Instead of just plain cabbage, we’ll be using fresh, seasonal ingredients and spices so you can customize your jar to taste exactly how you want it.

What we’ll cover:

  • The Basics: How salt and cabbage work together to create a crunch.

  • The Science: A simple look at what’s actually happening inside the jar.

  • Safety & Flavors: How to keep your ferment safe and how to get creative with seasonal spices.

What you’ll take home:
